The UK government has again refused to commit to a seasonal agricultural workers scheme post-Brexit.
Calls appear to have fallen on deaf ears – despite intense lobbying by farmers who say it is vital that overseas workers can continue to come to the UK.
Faversham and Mid Kent MP Helen Whately again pressed the government on the need for such a programme.
But Home Office minister Brandon Lewis said the subject would be discussed by ministers over the coming months.
