UK imports of food and agricultural inputs from the EU will cost more after Brexit, suggests a new report.
Published by the UK in a Changing Europe, a group of academics who claim to offer impartial evidence-based research about the impact of leaving the EU.
The report suggests there will be a “substantial” effect on price and availability of food for British consumers after Brexit.
Called Cost of No Deal, the document also acknowledges that the effect on agriculture and food prices, while unpredictable, will be “large and varied”.
