Public back post-Brexit farm support – poll

More than eight out of 10 people think the government should spend money on the countryside post-Brexit – with food production the top priority.

The poll also revealed that 61% of people believe current spending of about £3bn/year is either the “right amount” (40%) or “too little” (21%).

The survey findings were unveiled by the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) at the Countryfile Live event at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
